Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Superintendant who thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates exceptionally well, is obsessive about details, and takes complete ownership of their projects from start to finish.

Job Qualifications

Experience

  • Minimum 7 years of experience as a Construction Project Manager and/or Superintendent.

  • Minimum 5 years of multifamily residential construction experience.

  • Minimum 5 years of Custom SFR residential construction experience.

  • Proven experience successfully managing projects of similar size and complexity from preconstruction through final completion.

  • Demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects, schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and client expectations.

Technical Knowledge

  • Expert ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, civil, and MEP plans.

  • Strong understanding of applicable building codes, permitting processes, inspections, and construction sequencing.

  • Experience preparing and managing project schedules.

  • Proficient in estimating, budgeting, cost control, and forecasting.

  • Extensive experience managing RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.

Computer Skills

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and PDF software.

  • Experience using construction management software and cloud-based document management systems.

  • Strong computer skills with the ability to quickly learn new software platforms.

Leadership

  • Proven ability to lead subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel while maintaining schedule and quality expectations.

  • Experience coordinating with owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, consultants, and design professionals.

  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving abilities with minimal supervision.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Financial Management

  • Experience managing project budgets from startup through closeout.

  • Ability to track costs, forecast project performance, review subcontractor invoices, and identify potential budget issues before they become problems.

  • Strong understanding of project profitability and cost control.

Communication (Critical)

Communication is one of the most important aspects of this position. The successful candidate must possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills and be highly responsive throughout the workday. This position requires:

  • Professional daily communication with clients, subcontractors, architects, engineers, inspectors, and internal team members.

  • Timely responses to emails, phone calls, and text messages.

  • Clear documentation of conversations, decisions, and project issues.

  • The ability to proactively communicate problems along with recommended solutions before they become critical.

Physical Requirements

  • Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.

  • Ability to travel between multiple job sites.

  • Ability to walk active construction sites, climb ladders, and perform routine site inspections.

  • We do drug test previous to employment as well as Run criminal background checks.
